Retiry (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the retirement planning tool available at retiry.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

We are committed to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your email address, created when you register for an account.
• Planning data: the financial information you voluntarily enter into the Service, including income, expenses, investment balances, pension details, and retirement assumptions.
• Usage data: basic information about how you interact with the Service (e.g. pages visited, features used), collected to improve the product.

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell your data to third parties.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Respond to support requests
• Send important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in)

Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider. Supabase may store data on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this cross-border transfer.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

We retain your account and planning data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@retiry.ca. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Under PIPEDA and applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent to processing (where consent is the basis for processing)

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies solely for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice within the Service. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
